10 Reasons Why Those Who Follow Their Dreams Lead The Best Lives

At the end of this is a link to a great article "10 Reasons Why Those Who Follow Their Dreams Lead The Best Lives".

Finding this article while researching something else is serendipitous indeed.

I feel extremely lucky that so many of my  dreams come true.

Like waking up alive.

Lately *AHEM* I've felt like I might be on the wrong tracks or that I've derailed completely, living in denial that a derailment could have happened. Not me. No way. I see tracks somewhere under those overgrown weeds.

Maybe?

Feeling lost, confused and bewildered I stumbled into this article. I think it was meant for me to find it right now.

After carefully reading it, I do feel like I am indeed on the right tracks, covered in overgrown weeds, in a lonely desolate area of frightening hairpin turns and steep mountains that go up and down sharply, requiring my locomotion to slow way down in order to navigate with prudent care to stay on those bemusing tracks.

I wake up alive and feel like I am "living the dream" but oh there is so much work to be done. Chug, chug, chug, I think I can said the little train... But somebody has to stoke the fire, prime the steam, persevere over that mountain. Little old me dwarfed by the big pile of wood.

I needed a shove, a small confirmation that I was on the train tracks after all and not derailed. Amazingly this article magically appeared.  Splitting all that wood to stoke that fire, seems worth it. I'll either get this train over that mountain or huff and puff and blow a lot of smoke trying.

  1. i have to agree with hudson. i reached that point in my early twenties, that i had become successful. there is a level that you expect to be successful. expect it. it will come. i call it tunnel vision. now one thing i want to emphasize is that success does not necessarily mean rich, at least to me. money has never had a hold on me. i'm not rich, but i'm frugal(cheap, real cheap). i'm a master plumber and licensed electrician. i drive a 2003 windstar for work. i laugh at the guys with the jackedup 4x4's. $$$.

i get to take my grand kids(+ auxiliary backup grand kids) doing grand kid stuff. now that is success. i'm self employed, i would suggest it. even more so have fun, enjoy life. i'd suggest it. i have (1) credit card. $600.00. limit. i buy gas when we go places. we have no crushing debt load. we pay as we go. did i mention, to have fun. enjoy life. if i don't get to work for awhile, so what.

there is a theme here. i'ts get. as in get to work. get to do parent, grand parent and great grand parent stuff. it snows here. most people just bitch about it. well i guess they are successful carpers. not my cup of tea. i get to ski. ice fish. hike. i get to make an ice sculpture with water this winter. what do think.

mermaid. that's why you are successful. your trip is exactly what hudson is talking about. we used to say "stay out of trees". i never did either. seeee yaaaa.

  2. I m too old to remember where I heard this but it applies to all of my life. We're not in control of the world God is. And I make it a point to never love anything that can't love me back. I.e. Stuff, cars, houses and all that stuff. Take care lady and stay safe. Martha

  6. You seem to have done it all. I just started to realize my dreams of travel three years ago, so I am a newcomer, but you have been living an adventurous life for a long time. Maybe you need a new dream.

I'd bring you some homemade chicken noodle soup, but you are on the other end of the continent. Take care.
