School is not for just the youngsters. My God mother always wanted to finish her doctorate. At age 68, she finally did just that. The way she saw it, her 68th birthday was going to eventually roll around, whether she finished her doctorate or not. Happily, both rolled around.
In her case, she transferred to another state to take up residence, then still had to commute a fair distance to attend her courses. She persevered to attain a goal she had secretly harbored all her life. It's no small wonder, this woman has been such an incredible inspiration throughout my challenging life.
