Change of Address

It was 50F degrees when I woke up this morning. Yesterday it was a balmy 75F.  I think it's time for me and the dog to load up the motorhome to head south or to the coast, or some where a bit warmer. I guess you could say we are fair weather travelers.  Of course I live in my wheel estate full time. I have no other home. Not a thing in storage anywhere. Everything I own now fits in less than 28 feet of RV. The main reason I love it, is that if I don't like the weather where I am, I can simply move my home to a climate more to my liking.

If you only travel part-time in your RV, then you also have a fixed address and a regular home. You might be gone for a few days or a week, while your mail piles up.  You can have the post office stop and restart delivery to your mailbox .  Alternatively you can look at residential mailboxes  that come  built for security, so that your mail is safely locked in your box.  The postal carrier can continue to drop off your mail, but no one can casually walk by and peruse your mail, because it is safely locked up until you return. This is a great for short term trips. You don't have to notify the post office every time you leave town for a few days or even a week, yet your mail is secure.

There are loads of exotic mailboxes designed to compliment your home. You can even order your mail boxes by mail order. How's that for a twist on things. No longer are you limited to just what's available in the local store, now you can choose from a vast variety with signage to make your mailbox a custom part of your home.

For now, looks like my mailbox and address are changing for parts unknown, as I roll down the highways and byways to my destiny.

  1. We have to move soon, low tonight here is forecast for 37! We get almost no mail at our delivery address to be forwarded to us. The little bit we need is scanned and delivered to us by e-mail!
