Colleton State Park in South Carolina

Sunshine! It's rained almost every day for a month. When we parked here Monday, it was an extemporaneous river. Tuesday we were dead tired and all that got done, was I put the table cloth out, so that we looked "camped in" because I had to break camp to go see the repairman about my little old wheel estate. I was hoping another camper wouldn't set up shop, but I am reserved and paid for, just that I would hate to tell someone they are in the wrong spot.

I like the quaint little rangers station. These guys take superb care of their park. Every bit of it is well cared for.

Indeed the park is located on Wayside Lane. It's a lovely spot.

The massive oak tree is my favorite, I never get tired of studying it. I often wonder about the visionary souls that tied these oaks together decades ago, nurturing them to form one massive tree that would stand tall and stately for centuries.

And of course a note from the dog:

"OK, I think after I shoved those boards under the rear tires, the dog house is level. Now is it time for my toys to come out to play?"
