Vogel State Park Georgia

Vogel State Park in Georgia

I spent 4 days camping at this slice of heaven. All pictures enlarge to 500px if you click on them. The park has cabins for rent and a campground plus oodles of nature with trails, waterfalls, rivers, streams, a lake and so on. These are just a handful of pictures.

Harley inspects this man made pond.

The campsites are heavily wooded but mostly level.

Plenty of streams and creeks crisscross the park with many human assisted beaver dams.

The assistant ranger had a large home with a fabulous garden growing in his front yard, from corn to roses.

I am on a learning curve with this camera, graciously donated by a  gentle reader.

A road through the park.

This is blurry, but I included it, the hollow in the tree was rather large.

Picnic areas by the river.

View from the covered bridge of an uncovered bridge.

Another view from the covered bridge.

Public picnic areas.

The covered bridge with a black BBQ grill in the foreground.

View of the river.

The river that feeds the lake in the background.
