I LOVED this book! I bought it to read while on the beach in Tortola and absolutely fell in love with it. While it was the ultimate book to read while in the BVI, it would be a fabulous read where ever you may be. Dear Miss Mermaid is a wonderful story teller. You can easily imagine you are in the BVI or somewhere else in the Caribbean. I enjoyed reading Hurricanes and Hangovers just as much as I enjoyed reading Jimmy Buffets books. You have got to read this one!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the mad and racy world of the BVI, which is so completely different from the so-called urbane and civilised world of the big cities - whether they be in the UK or the US. Living in an island myself, I can almost identify with the irreverent and nearly lawless nature of the BVI. Characters are larger than life and well depicted. Be prepared to chuckle regularly!

From the first page of this book, I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. This is a must read about life in BVI or if you ever thought of moving there. After reading this, I went online to purchase other books by Miss Mermaid, and am dissapointed to find out this is her first. Miss Mermaid, we need more!
