Last July I took this picture from Caesars Head State Park in South Carolina just before the North Carolina border at an elevation of 3,215 feet. On the way down the mountain to my next campground, the transmission threw a fit. About a week later, even before the transmission was fixed, I shattered my wrist. It all seems like yesterday. Life is goofy that way.
But the pictures and the memories. Ahh...
In the background is Table Rock reservoir, located on another South Carolina State Park by the same name.
Ironically, before Caesars Head was a state park, a hotel had these breathtaking views until a fire destroyed it in 1954. More info on the history can be found here.
